Summer Camp

2024 Registration Now Open!

During summer camp we play, plant, sing, work, and get to know life on an urban farm. We get our hands dirty in the field, and we enjoy the fruits of our labors — fresh, delicious, organic produce! Through farm chores and responsibilities, self-directed play in our engaging spaces, and project-based nature and art activities, we learn about the natural world and explore community, teamwork, and the interconnectedness of all things.

There’s a place for all ages at camp!

Sprouts Camp is for 3 – 5 year olds

Roots Camp is for rising 1 – 6 graders

The CIT Program is open to select rising 7 – 9 graders

The High School Camp Internship Program is for rising 10 – 11 graders.

The Summer Specialist Program is for young adults ages 19 – 22. Learn more and apply here!

And… camp is staffed by counselors ages 17+. Learn more and apply here by March 14.

What Happens At Summer Camp?

Play Video

Daily activities at Summer Camp include gardening, feeding chickens and collecting eggs, music and stories, farm-to-fork food preparation with our bicycle powered blender and solar oven, arts and crafts, nature connection activities, and more. We do everything through the lens of Jewish tradition and storytelling, whether it be through our shomrei adamah (“guardians of the earth”) farm activities, or eco-mitzvot songs.

Each day, campers enjoy time with their own age-specific groups, choose their own afternoon free-choice specialty with campers of all ages, and experience all-camp games. We open and close every day as a whole camp community with circle time, songs, storytelling, and acts of love and kindness.

* Sprouts Camp includes 40 minutes of relaxation — a time for campers to lay down and nap, listen to stories and songs, and practice mindfulness.

HEALTH & SAFETY

All eligible campers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least two weeks prior to the start of camp. All camp staff are required to be fully vaccinated with a booster shot.

Our masking policy depends on COVID-19 Community Levels:
  • Low: Campers and staff will not be required to wear masks.
  • Medium or High: Campers and staff will be required to wear masks at all times.

We clean bathrooms regularly, offer individual places to store camper belongings, and require plenty of hand sanitizer and hand washing. We ask kiddos to bring all their own snacks and lunch for health and safety reasons.

Given that our programming will take place outdoors, we have few options for campers indoors should the AQI reach this level. We will contact parents and ask for pickup within 2 hours. During days of poor air quality, please have your phones on and stay close by to the farm, so that you are able to pick up your child if need be.
