Youth in their teen years are asking some big questions:

At Urban Adamah, we’ve designed programs that help teens explore their own answers to these questions and more. All programs are grounded in community, connection to the earth, and Jewish ecological wisdom.

Rising 8th – 10th graders are invited to join us for summer and beyond in our new CIT Teen Leadership Institute. Rising 11th and 12th graders can join us for three weeks or more as a Summer Camp Intern. And teens of all ages are welcome at the many year-round programs we offer on the farm.

What Do Teens Learn?

We value experiential, hands-on learning. Teens learn skills including:

  • Teamwork & group leadership skills
  • Working with young children
  • Sustainable urban farming & farm-to-table cooking
  • Crafting (basket weaving, felting, Jewish ritual object, etc.)
  • Nonviolent communication & conflict resolution (NVC)
