I was born and raised in Berkeley and feel very rooted in my access to the Bay Area Jewish, outdoor education, and sustainable agriculture communities. I have lived in the Bay Area my entire life other than my years spent at UC Santa Cruz studying Sustainable Agriculture. I served as an Americorps member at The Edible Schoolyard and felt so privileged to be able to serve the community where I grew up.
My previous work and passions have always involved food whether it be working as the Camp Tawonga Kitchen Supervisor for 6 summers, being a personal chef, or teaching youth how to cook. I find that food is a way of building connection to land, people, and cultures, and feel delighted to be part of an organization that centers on that. I am excited to be in a community with folks who celebrate food and for the conversations that can be shared there at the table!
