Hi, my name is Rob, and I am excited to be the Assistant Camp Director for Sprouts Camp this summer! I grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, and studied Creative Writing at Oberlin College. I started working at Urban Adamah as a camp counselor in 2017. It was my first job out of college, and I have been doing educational work here ever since. Urban Adamah has given me the opportunity to pursue a number of my interests, including outdoor education, experiential learning, and music. I have written three camp songs about Jewish eco-mitzvot: “Tzaar Baalei Chayim,” “Bal Tashchit,” and “Peah.” I also wrote the song “Sunscreen Party Fun” for the middle of the day, when campers need another layer of sunscreen.

When I am not at Urban Adamah, I spend my time creating and performing original music, baking sourdough and challah, and hiking around the Bay Area. Currently I am getting a Masters in Music Business through Berklee Online.
