My name is Rachel Binstock and I am the Director of the Urban Adamah Fellowship. I moved to Berkeley in 2015 to work with youth and families at Urban Adamah and began directing the Fellowship in March of 2018. Prior to Urban Adamah, I was a Jewish nature-connection educator at Eden Village Camp on the East Coast where I served as assistant farm director and lead educator. Before my career as a Jewish farmer, I worked as a community organizer in my home town of Chicago. My mission in my work and beyond is to build the world I want to live in. I identify as an artist, community builder, and song-keeper. My spare time is spent practicing primitive skills, making herbal medicine, and singing.
