I’m Maddy and I’m so excited to meet you at one of our youth and family programs and/or camp! I’m a lifelong Jewish camp enthusiast and food lover. I spent my summers as a camper and staff member at URJ Camp Newman, where I first learned the power of Jewish community, friendship, and my love of the outdoors. I spent my undergraduate years studying Community Studies, Sociology, and Jewish Studies at UC Santa Cruz.
In my free time, I founded UCSC’s Challah for Hunger chapter, taught elementary aged students at the CASFS farm, and frequented the best cafes and farmers markets in town. After graduation, I spent 6 months in Jerusalem volunteering at the Hand in Hand Bilingual school. I returned to Northern California as the Director of Teen Engagement at Congregation Beth am in Los Altos Hills.
I’m so grateful to have found my home at Urban Adamah as the Youth and Family Programs Director. I’m thrilled to bring my love for children, camp, and food to my work at UA!
