Growing up gardening all over the midwest, I have fond memories of harvesting many pounds of cucumbers with my Grandpa in Wisconsin to make the best dill pickles ever! After graduating from the University of Georgia with a degree in Wildlife Management, I lived and traveled around the country before finding my community in Oakland. I have worked in the environmental education and conservation field for 15 years with various non-profits dedicated to youth development, environmental conservation and environmental justice. I am a dedicated community volunteer with City Slicker Farms, the Alameda County Master Gardeners, Bike East Bay and Emerson Elementary School. You can find me biking all over the neighborhood with my young daughter, playing ultimate frisbee, hiking with my family and growing all the food I can at my family’s TwinDuplex Farm.
