Nir is a Bay Area native, a former environmental engineer turned farmer/educator. He studied agro-ecology and small-scale farming at the Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems in Santa Cruz, CA. Before joining the team at Urban Adamah, Nir served with the Peace Corps in Nepal where he worked alongside rural farmers to improve soil health and strengthen agricultural capacity. Nir is a thoughtful educator and life-long learner. As farm coordinator, he is excited to help steward UA’s fellowship program while tending to the urban-agro-ecosystem.
