Young Adult Weekend Immersion in Partnership with Moishe House and Retreatology

Back by popular demand, our weekend retreat for young adults is the perfect antidote for a hectic life. We invite you to the farm to unplug, slow down, dig deep, and experience connection — to self, to others, and to the earth.

This retreat is for you if you want to spend a weekend in your body – farming, dancing, singing, and growing; are new to the Bay Area and want to build community; or are interested in Urban Adamah’s work and want to get involved in a deeper, more meaningful way.

What to look forward to: morning meditation and yoga, Kabbalat Shabbat, camp fires, work parties on the farm, nature-based artistic exploration, and DIY homesteading workshops, like basket weaving and herbal medicine making!

The retreat begins at 3:00 pm on Friday, December 6th and ends at 1:30 pm on Sunday, December 8th.

The retreat fee is $75 per person for the weekend, which includes program, housing, and all meals. A $60 non-residential option is also available. This event is co-sponsored and subsidized by Moishe House and Retreatology.

Food: This retreat includes all meals and snacks Friday afternoon through Sunday lunch. Meals are vegetarian with gluten free and dairy free options provided. Meals are not prepared under Kosher supervision.

Accommodations: Guests will sleep in rooms with 4 beds per room and shared bathrooms. Single rooms with queen beds are available for an additional fee of $75 per person. Please email Ari Eisen at ari@urbanadamah.org if you’d like to book a single room.

Please note: The retreat is only open to all adults ages 21 – 35. There will be musical instruments and farm work on Shabbat.

Accessibility: This program takes place on an active farm with uneven ground. Please tell us about any accessibly issues or concerns you might have. ADA accessible rooms are also available if needed.

Urban Adamah is a Jewish community farm and education center that seeks to build a more loving, just, and sustainable world. We ground and connect people — to themselves, to others, to spirit, and to nature. We do this by providing farm-based experiences that integrate Jewish tradition, mindfulness, sustainable agriculture, and social action.
